• A few marginal notes and summaries. It is stated in the preface that it would be appropriate if the work were entitled al-Maqṣid al-asmāʼ fī muṭābaqat ism kull sūrah lil-musammá.
• Collation: Paper ; fol. 238 ; catchwords ; quires signed: 18-24 (first 17 quires unsigned) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
• Layout: 25 lines per page.
• Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition. MS is rare.
• Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وصلي الله علي سيدنا محمد وسلم الحمد لله الذي اعلم سور القرآن بما دل علي مقاصدها ... وبعد فهذا كتاب سميته مصاعد النظر ...

Binding note

Later type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather and marbled paper. Flap exterior covered in paper with zig-zag block-pressed design. Not sewn. Signs of earlier binding.
