  • Physical description: 10 lines per page; written in early Abbasid script (style D.Va--see Déroche, F., The Abbasid tradition, no. 51) in dark brown on parchment. Disc containing gold, red and green dots after āyah 81. The vowel signs are dots in red. The ḍammah is represented by a dot to the right of the letter, the fatḥah by one over and the kasrah by one below (cf. al-Suyūṭī, Itqān, Cairo, 1925, vol. II, p. 171, 11. 27-8). Extensive water damage; most of text on recto effaced.
  • Origin: Likely from the 9th century (compare with Déroche, F., The Abbasid tradition, no. 51).
