500    The author composed the MS for al-Mufaḍḍal ibn Abī al-Barakāt, fl. ca. 484 [1091], the minister of Sayyidah ḥurrah, 532 [1137], who played the dominant role in Ṣanʻāʼ after the death of the Ṣulayḥid al-Mukarram Aḥmad 473-484 [1080-1091].
