Summary note
Autograph copy of a life of the Prophet drawn chiefly from Insān al-ʻuyūn fī sīrat al-amīn al-maʼmūn. It is in four parts and a conclusion: (1) the time of the Prophetʼs birth; (2) his name; (3) his genealogy; (4) the merit of praying for him; and the conclusion, on standing up when the mawlid is read.
Notes
A few marginal notes. Folio 30 is of larger size and folded over. Waqf statement on title page partially obscured.
Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 39 + ii ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Description: Overlining and verse separators in red ; watermarks (crown with oval beneath with roman-alphabet letters "AV..." and grapes, three crescents) ; MS in good condition.
Layout: 15-21 lines per page ; ruled.

Origin: According to colophon copied Thursday 11 Ṣafar 1138 by the author, Ibrāhīm ibn Murād ibn Ibrāhīm al-Rāʻī (fol. 38a).
