Summary note
Autograph copy of a short history of the place where al-Ḥusayn suffered martyrdom and some of the miraculous events which occurred there.
Notes
Collation: Paper ; fol. 40 ; catchwords ; quires signed: 2-4 ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (circular design, roman-alphabet letters in corner) ; MS in good condition.
Layout: 13 lines per page ; ruled.

Origin: According to colophon copied Friday 28 [Dhū] al-Ḥijjah 1004 by the author (fol. 40a).
The work was composed on the occasion of the appointment by Maḥmūd III the Ottoman (A.D. 1595-1603) of Muḥammad Pāshā as governor of Egypt 1004-1006 [1596-1598]. Invocation on the folio before the title page, two lines of verse and an obscured dated statement on the title page
