Marginal notes. Label on upper cover: "351 KE".
Collation: Paper ; fol. 215 ; catchwords ; paginated in red ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 13 lines per page; frame-ruled in gold and black.
Description: Rubricated ; some paper tinted light brown ; watermarks (grapes with cartouche "M...", roman-alphabet countermark initials, other unidentified) ; MS in good condition, some folios mended.
Decoration: Illuminated headpiece in blue, pink, red and gold (fol. 1b). Gold circle sentence dividers (fol. 1b-4a).
Origin: According to colophon copy completed Muḥarram 1163 by Ibrāhīm ibn Muṣṭafá ibn Ibrāhīm (fol. 215a).
Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله الذى جعل الالفاظ قوالب المعانى وفضلها على شائر الاصوات ... اما بعد فيقول العبد الفقير الى لطف القديم الشيخ مصطفى بن حمزه اسكنهما الله بفضله فى الجنة ...

Binding note
Later type II (with flap) binding in dark red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled edging. Orange paper pastedowns and flyleaves. Flap is missing. Some evidence of previous binding.

Ownership signatures: Muṣṭafá ibn Aḥmad with his seal impression, another signature and two more seal impressions (fol. 1a). Seal impressions: al-Sayyid Aḥmad Rāsikh dated 1257 (fol. 1b and 215a), Muṣṭafá (same as fol. 1a), indistinct stamp (fol. 215a). Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1904.
