    A commentary on al-Muqaddimah al-Ājurrūmīyah. The commentary is a collection of the opinions of Nūr al-Dīn ʻAlī ibn Burhān al-Dīn al-Ḥalabī 975-1044 [1567/8-1635].

    • Marginal notes and glosses. The title page and two folios prior have a variant title, calligraphy, and a list of bābs. After the colophon occur 5 lines of poetry and two statements, one about an eclipse in Constantinople 1071 [1661] and the other about an uprising in Aleppo 1184 [1770].
    • Collation: Paper ; fol. (1) + 49 + (2) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
    • Layout: 19 lines per page.
    • Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; vowel signs ; watermarks (anchor) ; MS in good condition but stained with dampness.
    • Origin: According to colophon copied 1041 by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Zabādī (fol. 49a).
    • Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم حمدا لك اللهم على ما الهمت من دقائق العربية

    Type III (without flap) binding in brown leather over paper. Blind-stamped mandorla, outlined and decorated with gold paint. Gold painted edging. Blue paper pastedowns.
