An Arabic dictionary, an abridgment of al-Ṣiḥāḥ fī al-lughah of al-Jawharī with additions from al-Mughrib fī tartīb al-muʻrib of al-Muṭarrizī 538-610 [1144-1213] and al-Fāʼiq by al-Zamakhsharī 467-538 [1075-1144].

Marginal notes and glosses in Arabic and Turkish. Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn (1835-58), II, p. 572 states that the author completed the composition of his work in Adrianople, 854 [1450/1] and dedicated it to the Sultan the Conqueror, Muḥammad II, who reigned 855-886 [1451-1481]. Inscription after colophon dated 1188 [1774/5]. Title also on lower edge of text block.
Collation: Paper ; fol. 321 + (1) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 27 lines per page ; ruled.
Description: Folios 1-28 and 139-288 written in Fārisī, other sections in general script by a different hand ; rubricated ; some overlining in red ; some vowel signs ; MS in good condition.
Origin: According to colophon copied 949 (fol. 321a).
