Marginal notes and glosses. On the two folios before the title page are three poems by Abū ʻAlī ibn Sīnā 370-428 [980-1036/7]; several poems by the Sulṭān al-Malik al-Nāṣir ibn Dāwūd ibn al-Malik ʻĪsá ... ibn al-ʻĀdil Abī Bakr Muḥammad ibn Najm al-Dīn Ayyūb, who reigned 624-626 [1227-1228]; a statement that the MS is dedicated to the Ḥamawī Mosque; several verses of poetry; several verses by al-Thaʻālibī 350-429 [961/2-1037/8]; several verses by Ibn ʻArabī 560-638 [1164/5-1240/1]; a table of contents, with the headings within circles; a statement about the phases of the moon; and a birth and a death date. After the ending are several dates of birth and death. Some small slips with poems on them are inserted between the folios; several folios are blank.
Collation: Paper ; fol. 282 + i ; foliated in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 17-23 lines per page ; ruled.
Description: Written in thuluth and other scripts ; rubricated ; vowel signs ; in red, green and black ink ; some parts within circles ; watermarks (anchor?) ; MS in good condition.
Incipit: القاضي صلاح الدين ابوالصفاء خليل بن ايبك ابن الالبلي الصفدي. اقول وقد رق عيشي
Ending: وادع لي من هواك بالفرح
Binding note
Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants. Decorative blind-tooled edging. Blind-stamped motif and blind-tooled edging on flap. Endbands.

On folio 3a ib the autograph and seal impression of an owner, Muṣṭafá. On the title page is the autograph of the copyist, Muḥammad al-A[...] , dated 1006 [1597/8] and an Arabic seal impression inscribed: ʻʻwhat God wishes, there is no power but through God.ʼʼ Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900.
