• Copied from a MS of the author (fol. 615b). According to reference sources attribution is given variously to al-Khuwārizmī , Jamāl al-Dīn Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Qazwīnī, 527 [1132/3] or al-Qazwīnī al-Shāfiʻī. Whatever his name, the author in all likelihood lived in the first half of the sixth century of the Hijrah and wrote sometime after 527 [1132/3]

Binding note

Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather and tan paper. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on both covers and flap. Quires no longer sewn.
