    • On upper edge: "Kanz al-lughah" in Arabic script.
    • Physical description: 21 lines per page; written in naskh in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Chapters and sections noted in red in margins. Slight damp staining in lower margin. Some insect damage on first eight leaves and last 17 leaves. First leaf is pasted to a piece of laid European paper which covers a few letters of text in the inner margin of the verso.
    • Origin: Copy completed on 2 Jumādá II 1121 H. [9 August 1709] (fol. 489b).
    Binding note
    Full brown leather with blind-stamped central mandorla and pendants and tooled fillets; pink leather doublures. Spine has been repaired.

    Persian and Arabic.
