Translation of the first Göttingen edition, 1786; a different translation appeared under the title 'The institutions of physiology.' - Half-title: Elements of physiology. In two volumes.

In this edition, quire Q in volume two is set with long s's, and pages 242 and 243 are misnumbered 142 and 143 respectively.
