    • A different setting of type, with differing woodcut head- and tailpieces, than Baldwin's 1751 ed.
    • Tentatively dating from the 1751 publication date of another Cotsen ed. and terminal date suggested by C.Y. Ferdinand ("Richard Johnson Junior, Bookseller," in Studies in Bibliography, no. 89, p. 259).
    • Engraved frontispiece and title page, both printed in red and black.
    • "Price six pence" -- At foot of title page.
    • "Printed according to Act of Parliament" --At head of frontispiece.
    • Title page epigram: "Example draws where precept fails. / And sermons are less read than tales / Mat. Prior."
    • Illustrations: Engraved title page and frontispiece (depicting a Peaceable Kingdom scene), woodcut vignettes at the the head of fables and tales, and decorative woodcut headpiece at the head of riddles.
    • Signatures: A-H⁸ (this copy lacking (H2-H7).
    • Cotsen copy: Lacking pages 115-126 (H2-H7), with page numbers apparently clipped on pages 114 and 127.
