    • Tentative date from style of chromolithograph wrappers (this ed. postdates 1881, since it includes New York in Warne's imprint on lower wrapper).
    • 7 mounted bifolia, printed with first and last leaves laid down to wrappers.
    • Illustrations: 4 chromolithographs on one side of leaf with single-color lithographs in either sepia or green on the other, both with lithographed text integrated into page design.
    • One of several Warne variations on this alphabet rhyme, beginning "A stands for the Arch that's thrown over a stream"; text and ill. distinct from Warne's earlier London Toy Book with same title (cf. Cotsen 18150).
