Notes
  • These 104 boxes are a subsection of a much larger collection of American Indian newspapers and periodicals in the Library. There are 898 separate entries distributed among these 104 boxes. About 77 titles in the collection are voluminous and, as such, they are catalogued and boxes separately. Examples of such: Navajo Times, Navajo-Hopi Observer, etc.
  • For particulars about what had been gathered as of 1970, see: Alfred L. Bush and Robert S. Fraser. American Indian Periodicals in the Princeton University Library. Another 108 titles were added in the six months following the appearance of the above list, (i.e. 379 titles).
