Summary note

Treatise on Imāmī law. This copy ends with the original colophon by the author, stating that Juzʼ 1 was completed on Saturday 13 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 989 [Dec. 9, 1581] (fol. 198b in the modern foliation). The text is preceded and followed on fol. 2b-4b and fol. 199a-200b by several short texts and excerpts.

• Physical description: 31 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and entries The text is framed within two lines in red (outlined in blue in the first half of the copy). Thin dark cream to biscuit paper, glossy, with laid lines visible. Marginal annotations (collation notes and glosses). Several inscriptions on fol. 1a and 2a, including ownership statements, and a note mentioning a price. Title on tail of text block and on fore-edge (hardly legible). Partial foliation in pencil, starting with "2" on fol. 6 (the second leaf of the main text). First leaves loose.
• Inscription "49" in Arabic numerals and Western numerals on fol. 1a.
• Origin: According to colophon, copied by Nāṣir ibn ʻAlī ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Khwān al-Darāzī al-Baḥrānī, Thursday 22 Muḥarram 1086 [April 18, 1675] (fol. 198b).
• Incipit: بسم ... وبه نستعين الحمد لله المحمود لالايه المشكور لنعمايه ... وبعد فان احق الفضايل بالتعظيم واجراها باستحقاق التقديم واتهما في استجلاب ثوابه الجسيم هو العلم بالاحكام الشرعية والوظايف الدينية ... قوله قدس الله نفسه وطهر رمسه كتاب الطهارة الكتاب مصدر ثالث لكتب من الكتب وهو الجمع
