Summary note
Abridgment of al-Muʻrib, a lexicon of select words and phrases, particularly those which occurr in the books of tradition and other works relating to law. On ten leaves after the end of the text (fol. 126-135) are inscriptions, short texts, and diagrams (mainly squares) by several hands, some inverted.

Title supplied by cataloger.
Physical description: 25 lines per page; the last words of each verso are written on the left portion of a 26th line. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and entries. The text is vocalized. Thin friable light cream paper, with regular laid lines and a few chain lines visible. Fol. 3-6 are later replacements. Marginal annotations. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including a fāʾidah and ownership statements Thread division markers. Quaternions. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Worm-eaten ; stained with dampness ; two first leaves extremely fragile.
Origin: According to colophon, copied by ...?, and completed on a Thursday in Jumādá al-Ūlá 732(?) [1332] (fol. 125b; a note by a later hand on the right margin of the colophon mentions the date 739 [1338]).
Incipit: بسم ... احمد الله على ان خول جزيل الطول وسدد الاصابة فى الفعل والقول ... فهذا ما سبق به الوضع من تهذيب مصنفى المترجم بالمعرب وتنميقه وترتيبه
