Prospectus for the Little pig monthly, first published in June 1859 by Shepard, Clark & Co., Boston, and Dinsmore & Co., New York. The June issue was published at New York and the July issue at Boston.
Includes "From the Little-pig monthly for July. A cracked commandment. A very little girl was taken by her mother into a shop ..."
"Published by permission of the proprietors of Wellington's illustrated song book. ... 1. Shells of ocean. Written by Lake. Music by J.W. Cherry. One summer eve, with pensive thought, I wander'd on the sea beat shore."--p. [2]. The song, illustrated with a wood-engraving by Damoreau, was published in the July 1859 issue of the Little pig monthly.
