    • Title from fol. 2b.
    • Copied in Istanbul in 1039 (1629 or 1630) by Mehmet Arifî ibn Hasan ibn Abdurrahman, who compared his copy with the author's own copy -- colophon (fol. 99b).
    • 25 lines per page. Written in a medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed (European?) paper. Fol. 1a has several short inscriptions in different hands, one dated 1199 (1784-85). Fol. 2a has an excerpt, as a dedication to the author, by Şeyh Mehmet Efendi ibn İlyas, known as Çivizade, i.e. the Şeyhulislam Çivizade Mehmet Efendi, copied from a copy copied from the original in his own hand. Fol. 2b has another dedication at the head of the page by Mahmut bin Fazlullah bin Mahmut. Both of these are in the scribe's hand.

    Binding note
    Dark burgundy leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Gold roll and fillets border design around cover edges. Small decorative pattern in gold in the centre of upper and lower covers, consisting of a rectangular mesh pattern with radiating long sprigs along the vertical and short sprigs along the horizontal axis. The axes outlined with single blind fillets going from the centre of the mesh pattren to the cover edges. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in red and brown marbled paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in brown leather.
