520 8  Commentary on al-Unmūdhaj fī al-naḥw, a compendium on grammar by Maḥmūd ibn ʻUmar al-Zamakhsharī (d. 358/1144). The text is followed on fol. 145b-147a by several short texts and diagrams by the same hand as the main text.
500    Physical description: 15 lines per page. Written in small round naskh(?) in black ink with use of red. Irregular handmade paper. Fol. 2 and 147 consist of a modern piece of paper pasted on the recto and the verso respectively of the first and last original leaves. Subject headings in black on the margins. A few slips of paper with annotations between the original leaves. Mainly quaternions; catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (counts the first free endpaper as fol. 1).
500    Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Thānī naḥw 44". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "767/2 Ḥ".
