Summary note
Complete copy of al-Kashshāf, comprising the text from Sūrat Fātiḥat al-Kitāb - Sūrat al-Nās. Before the beginning of the text are several pages with short texts, including a Qaṣīdah attributed to al-Zamakhsharī (fol. 2a-3b). At the end of the text, colophon of the exemplar mentioning that it was copied on a copy from the draft ("min al-sawād") by the author, dated Monday 23 ---? 528 [1133 or 4] (fol. 468b).

Physical description: 34 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red (gold outlined in black on fol. 4b). Ḥāshiyah on the margins. Biscuit paper with thick laid lines, chain lines, and pulp visible. Fol. 50-62, 213-225: later replacements. Fol. (i) and 1 are later additions, with a table of contents. Erased inscriptions on fol. 469b. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with "1" on fol. 5a). Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits the first fol.). Wear. Disbound.
Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on 20 Muḥarram 697 [Nov. 7, 1297] by Abī ʻAlī ...? ibn Abī al-Riḍā ibn QLM ibn ---LRūdī al-Nāṣirī (fol. 468b). Text collated on the copy of al-Imām al-Ṣaghānī by al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ṣaghānī (collation statement, fol. 468b after colophon).

Binding note
Brown leather over paper pasteboards with deep sunk gold(?) stamped lobed mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis. Gold(?) painted border consisting of fillets. Yellow paper pastedown with border consisting of gold(?) fillets. Spine almost completely wanting. Disbound.

Several inscriptions including ownership statements, some with seal, on fol. 4a, one reading Fakhr Zādah Muḥammad Asʻad al-Ḥusaynī. Ownership statement dated 1085 H. on fol. 468b. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
