Summary note

Treatise of uncertain authorship in thirty chapters (bāb), on ʻilm al-ḥurūf and other occult sciences, with charts of talismans. See M. Ullmann, Die Geheim-..., p. 392, n. 2. In this copy, the text is divided in two parts. The text is followed on fol. 67b-68b by several fāʼidah by the same hand, and by a short text on the 22 mansūkhāt as transmitted from the Prophet Muḥammad, with zoological metaphors, on fol. 69a-b (thicker paper).

• Title from rubric on fol. 1b. The same title appears in the preamble of the text, at the end of Juzʼ 1 and Juzʻ 2 (fol. 32a and 67a), and the beginning of Juzʼ 2 (fol. 33a).
• Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of magenta. Contains charts and figures. European paper. The text is not vocalized.
• Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Thālith 45". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "521/2 ḥ".
