• Origin: This appears to be a personal collection, with most of the texts done in the same hand over a short period of time. Exceptions to this are few shorter texts which appear to have been added later and are possibly in a different hand. Only 2 of the texts are dated: [Esma-yi Azam] Copied 9 of Sh. 1236 (1821), and [Şemseddin Sivasi'nin] Copied 7 of R. 1236 (1821).

Binding note

Type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind fillets around the edges of covers and the envelope flap. Blind-stamped mandorlas with pendants in the centre of upper and lower cover and a small blind stamped mandorla on the envelope flap. Endleaves and lining to the envelope flap in yellow paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in green fabric.

Language note

All texts are in Ottoman Turkish (including those whose titles are given in Arabic), with the exception of small sections in Arabic in cases of excerpts from Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah.

• 7. 26b-32b: Risale-yi vahdet-i vücut. A treatise on the concept of 'waḥdat al-wujūd'. This text appears to have been added later, as it starts on fol. 26b, carries on on the first empty side, fol. 27a, and then continues on the margins of other texts until fol. 32b.

• 9. fol. 28b-96a: [Selections from Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah]. Selections from different chapters of Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah, some of which have text in Arabic followed by translation/commentary in Ottoman Turkish. These are interspersed with sections entitled "Varidat", and are followed by a number of excerpts which are not by Ibn al-ʻArabī, but are related and include: "Intikhāb Yawāqīt Shaʻrānī", "Intikhāb Sharḥ al-Tuḥfah al-mursalah li-ʻAbd al-Ghanī al-Dimashqī [i.e. al-Nābulusī?-- see next section]", "Muntakhab Sharḥ al-Tuḥfah al-mursalah li-ʻAbd al-Ghanī ibn al-Nābulusī", "Nefha-yi rebbaniye li-Sadreddin el-Konevi" [the word used in the text is "nafkhah", i.e. "Nafaḥāt al-rabbānīyah"?], and finally, by commentaries on pieces of poetry, including a kaside by Mehmet Efendi and an excerpt by Niyazî.
• 10. fol. 96b- 98a: Şemseddin Sivasi'nin ihtiyar-i cüzi hakkında kelamlarının şerhidir. A short commentary on Şemseddin Sivasî's views on free will. The text proper ends on fol. 97b and is then followed by verses on fol. 97b-98a and a colophon on fol. 98a.
• 11. fol. 98b: [a kaside by İzzet Molla Efendi].
• 12. fol. 102b-115b: [Selections from Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah]. Selections from different chapters of Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah, some of which have text in Arabic followed by translation/commentary in Ottoman Turkish, the same as the previous selection in this ms (see text 9).
