  • Short text from Muḥammad ibn Mūsá al-QDQī to "al-akh al-karīm al-imām al-humām" to whom the text is sent (fol. 4a). Fol. 1 and the unnumbered folio before it are later added fly-leaves, with a title added by a later hand on fol. 1a. Lines of poetry and other short texts on fol. 2a and 3b. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Naḥw thānī 37 (or 27)". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of upper cover: "1282/2 Ḥ".

  • Origin: [Mutawassiṭ sharḥ al-Kāfiyah] Copy completed by Muḥammad ibn Musayt(?) in 1192 H. [1778 or 9] (colophon, fol. 109a, followed by three lines of poetry). The name of the copyist also appears on fol. 3a and 4a -- [al-Istiʻārah] Copied by Muḥammad ibn Musayt(?) al-HRKNī in 1193 H. [1779 or 80] (fol. 110a and 113b) -- [Short treatise] Copied in 1193 H. (colophon, fol. 116a).
  • Incipit: [متوسط شرح الكافية] احمد الله على عظمة جلاله حمد غريق بمطالعة جماله ... وبعد فانى بعد ان شرحت كتاب الكافية فى النحو اولا مع ايرادات ... قوله الكلمة لفظ وضع لمعنى مفرد اعلم ان معرفة هذا الحد موقوفة على معرفة اللفظ -- [Short treatise] الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على سيد المرسلين واله اجمعين اعلم ان هذا الكتاب مشتمل على بابين الباب الاول فى الجملة واحكامها وفيه اربع مسائل المسالة الاولى فى شرحها اعلم ان اللفظ المفيد يسمى كلاما وجملة ونعنى بالمفيد ما يصح سكون المتكلم عليه وان الجملة اعم من الكلام -- [الاستعارة] متوكلا بكرمه العميم ومصليا على رسوله الذى هو للمومنين روف رحيم وبعد فيقول المحتاج الى الله الملك القديم متلو محمد بن عرب بن حج بن عرب طاب الله ثرائهم لما كان صدر الامام الفاضل الكامل قدوة المحققين عز الملة والدين سعود ابن عمر القاضى التفتزانى ... ان اروى زهر تخرج فى رياض الكلام آه بنى الشارح الكلام فى ديباجه على الاستعارة والمجاز والاستعارة قسم من اقسام المجاز
