Summary note

Portion of a history of Lebanon, dealing with the years 1109-1236 H. [1698-1820 or 1]. The text is followed on fol. 160b-161a by a note added by the copyist, and on fol. 161b-164a, by a table of contents.

• Title from title page (fol. 1a in the modern foliation).
• Physical description: 19 lines per page. Written in clear large taʻlīq in black ink. Biscuit paper. Fol. 164b-169b: Blank, except inscriptions on fol. 169b. Pagination using Arabic numerals in the middle of the upper margin. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits the first fol.).
• Spine label (vertical), reading "13" in Arabic and Western numerals.
• Origin: Dated 26 July 99 [probably 1899], copied by Niʻmat Allāh al-Shihābī al-Ḥalabī al-Lubnānī (fol. 161a).
• Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم المالك يوم الدين المقجمة الحمد لله الملك القيوم الذي لا يبقى غيره ولا يدوم والسلام على من اتبع الهدى وذكر الدنيا ان كلما فيها سدى اما بعد فان معرفة ما مضى من الاخبار نزهة تلذ وموعظة تفيد
