    Summary note
A collection of several works on the principles of Islamic faith and Islamic law.
    Notes
    • Ms. composite codex.
    • Title from fol. 1a (dated 1161 (1748)?).
    • Fol. 1a has a list of months below the title in a different hand. A couple of inverted inscriptions in large naskh (verses) between texts 3 and 4 on fol. 74b-75a. Fol. 107a has a short inscription about the 28 prophets in the Qur'an. Fol. 144b contains a whole page of text, again on prescriptions of faith, which looks like a misplaced part of a larger work (similar in style to text 6). Two inverted inscriptions (one of them al-Fātiḥah) on fol. 145b.
    • Origin: [Treatise on the principles of piety] signed by the scribe: Mehmet bin Mustafa [from ?] (colophon, fol. 106b) -- [Treatise on trade ethics] Dated 1140 (colophon, fol. 144a). All texts are written in same style and similar hand, and most are written continuously (i.e. one ends and next one begins on same page), so they are possibly all by the same scribe and this date refers to the completion of the entire collection.
    • Layout: 19 lines per page.
    • Description: Partially rubricated ; three different types of glazed European paper.
