Summary note
A commentary on Farīd al-Dīn ʻAṭṭār's mystical poem Pendname by Mustafa Şemi, properly entitled Saadetname. This copy does not have the introductory section which would appear to be present in other copies (see incipits in GHB, vol. 13, 7682, and Rieu, p. 154, Sloane 3588). Another work of very similar style and contents is the commentary by Abdurrahman Abdî, entitled Müfid (see New Series no. 1707, GHB, vol. 13, 7679, and VOHD, XIII, 3, 308).

Title from fol. 1b. The word "şerhi" added later after the original title in red ink. Author's name, Şemi, also added later above the title.
Copied by Seyit Hafız Hasan bin Hafız Ali Kavarnavî, a clerk at the Galata Courthouse in Istanbul, and completed on the 13th of Jumādá al-Ūlá 1257 (1841) -- colophon (fol. 61a).
18 lines per page. Written in a fairly casual medium small taʻlīq in black and red ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Foliation in Arabic numerals in red ink and in Western numerals in pencil. Fol. 1a has a table of contents. Front and back endleaves are blank. A small rectangular stamp on fol. 1a. Glazed European paper.

Explicit: حق تعالينك رحمتى شول كمسنه نك روحى اوزره اولسون كين نصايح را بخواند او بسى كه بو نصيحتلرى اول كمسه چوق اوقيه الحمد لله على الاتمام والصلوة والسلام على سيد الانام
