    A collection of (chiefly) poetry works in tassavuf.
    Notes
    • Ms. composite codex.
    • Title supplied by the cataloger.
    • A couple of inscriptions on fol. 175a (faded and damaged by water).
    • Layout: 11 lines per page in one or two columns.
    • Description: Written in small script, vocalised throughout, in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Thick dark cream paper with visible laid lines and prominent pulp.
    • Origin: All texts are written continuosly in same hand, and are of same or similar date. None are dated, and only two short colophons are present: in text 1, to the effect that the work was completed at the end of Ramaḍān, and in text 3 the date given is 'year seven'.

    Binding note
    Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather over pasteboard. Blind tooled panel design on covers made with a wide roll and fillet around the edges, four floral corner pieces inside, and a blind "branch with flowers" motif stamp in the centre. Green and red endbands. Endleaves in a decorated paper, cream with green "oak and acorns" foliage pattern.
    Language note
    In Ottoman Turkish, except for texts 4 and 7, which are in Persian.

    • 1. fol. 1b-132a: Gülşen-i râz / Elvân-ı Şirâzî. A free translation/paraphrase of the mystical poem of the same name by Maḥmūd ibn ʻAbd al-Karīm Shabistarī (d. ca. 1320).

    • 4. fol. 163b-169b: [Futūwat nāmah] / Ahmedî. A treatise on the principles of futuwwa. [The authorship of this work has not been established with certainty]. In Persian with the final section in Ottoman Turkish.
    • 5. fol. 169b-173b: Şeyhoǧlu farmāyīd. A kaside on mysticism.
    • 6. fol. 173b: [an obliterated couplet entitled Ahmedî farmāyīd].
    • 7. fol. 173b-175b: Mevlâna Celâleddin. A selection from Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī.
