Inscription in black ink using Western numerals on the upper cover: "340" (corresponds to Brill's list, see Houtsma, M. Th. Catalogue d'une collection de manuscrits arabes et turcs, [1889], no. 713). Inscriptions on fol. 89b.
Collation: Paper, fol. i, 90, i ; i (later added free enpaper; European paper) 1¹⁰ (fol. 1 consists of a leaf in european paper pasted on the recto of first fol. of the quire) 2-9¹⁰ ; the quires are numbered using arabic ordinals in the form "Sādisat al-ʻUmdah" (see fol. 50a) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 13 lines per page.
Description: Written in medium large script in black ink with use of red. Cream paper with laid and chain lines and fibers visible. The outer part of the first two leaves is mended. The beginning of the text is partly written by a later hand on the repair of fol. 2. Fol. 1 consists of a later fol. pasted on the recto of an original leaf.
Origin: Copied on 12 Ṣafar 713 [June 8, 1313] by ʻAlī ibn al-Ḥājj ʻAlī ibn Aḥmad al-Shādhilī (colophon, fol. 89a).
Incipit: [الحمد لله] الواحد القهّار واشهد ان لا [اله الا الله وحده] لا شريك له رب السموات [والارضين] العزيز الغفار ... [وبعد] فان بعض اصحابى سالني اختصار
Explicit: يكن له مال غيره فباعه [--] ثمان مايه درهم ثم ارسل ثمنه اليه تم الكتاب بحمد الله وعونه

Later half-bound type III (without flap) binding in brown leather and grey and cream marbled paper pasted on paper pasteboards. Paper pastedown and free endpaper.
