Summary note
This print is of tanuki, or racoon dogs, who can magically transform their testicles into various objects, like boats, bicycles, tables, arm rests, etc... The raccoon dog's magical ability to transform this way is legendary, but this print is interesting because it combines the legend with western dress, customs, and technologies.
Notes
  • Title in translation: Latest edition of raccoon dogs joking around in different ways.
  • Cotsen copy: "栗園堂"?--illegible scripts on top left corner.
