    A loose translation of the 21st Risālah of Rasāʾil Ikhwān al-Ṣafāʾ.

    • Title from fol. 2a.
    • 17 lines per page. Written in a small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Light cream paper with visible chain lines. Fol. 2a has two couplets of poetry, and a short inscription by Muḥammad Valī Ṭāghatānī [?] saying that he commenced the translation of the work into Persian on the first day of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1310 (1892).

    Binding note
    Brown leather over pasteboard with blind stamped central mandorlas on covers. Substantial damage to the binding and the upper cover is torn and separated from the pasteboard. Spine repaired in different light brown leather. Lower cover has marbled paper pasted over. Pastedowns in peach colored paper.
