Summary note
An 18th-century manuscript copy of a sermon on the holy transfiguration by Saint Ephrem. On leaf 1 recto is a decorative scroll in red ink; and on leaf 20 recto is a small illustration with a crucifix. The manuscript is written on paper, in an elegant Greek hand, in black ink with chapter headings and capital letters in red ink, fifteen lines to a page. The written surface is 12 x 6 cm. The manuscript contains a pink bookplate in Greek on p. 2 of cover, and rubber stamps, also in Greek on pp. 2 and 3 of cover. The binding is blind stamped calf with missing fabric ties.
