• Title from colophon of Juzʼ 2 (fol. 114a).
• 15 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red for headings. Fol. 1 consists of a modern piece of paper pasted on the recto of an original fol. Glazed light cream paper with regular laid lines and some chain lines visible. Marginal annotations. Between fol. 134 and 135: Piece of paper with inscriptions and seals. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Thānī 50". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1189". Modern foliation in pencil using western numerals (counts fol. i and ii as 1 and 2 ; followed in this record).
• First and last leaves water damaged, with loss of text. Margins crudely repaired on some leaves.
• Copy of Juzʼ 2 completed by Ibrāhīm ibn Aḥmad ibn Yaʻqūb al-Kurdī al-Shāfiʻī on the last night (salkh) of Jumādá al-Awwal 879 [Oct. 1474] (fol. 114a). Copy of Juzʼ 3 completed by ʻUmar ibn Aḥmad ibn Yaʻqūb al-Ḥalabī al-Shāfiʻī on Monday 20 Jumādá al-Awwal 881 [Sept. 1476] (fol. 177b). Copy of Juzʼ 4 completed by the same on the first of Jumādá al-Ākhirah 882 [Sept. 1477] (fol. 303b).
