    Nabi's two-part Turkish and Persian divan. The Turkish part ends on fol. 348b and is followed by the Persian part on ff. 349a-371b.

    • Ms. codex.
    • Title supplied by the cataloger.
    • Copied by Seyyid Mehmet Husrevî and completed in 1174 (1760-61) -- colophon (fol. 371b). According to the end of the Turkish section on fol. 348b, this was completed in 1133 (1720-21).
    • 17 lines per page. Written in an elegant medium sized taʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is within a frame outlined in two lines of red ink, with sections inside the frame outlined in one line of red ink, except on ff. 1b-2a, 101b-102a, and 348b-349a, where the text is within a double gold leaf frame outlined in black ink, and the sections inside the frame are also separated with lines in gold leaf. Fol. 1b, 101b and 349a have large illuminated head pieces executed in gold leaf with blue, red, white and orange watercolors. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Thin dark cream glazed paper with visible laid lines. Faint octagonal ownership seal on fol. 371b.

    Binding note
    Brown and red leather binding with envelope flap. Red leather on spine, fore edge flap and around edges of covers. Brown leather on covers with a panel design consisting of central mandorals with pendants and floral corner pieces, all blind stamped and painted in gold and red. Gold fillets around borders of covers. Same design on the envelope flap. Lining to the envelope flap and endleaves in dark red paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in green buckram.
