An anonymous commentary on Tuhfe-yi Şahidî, Şahidî İbrahim's Persian-Turkish dictionary in verse. Cannot be identified with any of the known commentaries, including another anonymous one (see Verzeichnis der Orientalischen Handschriften in Deutschland, XIII, IV, no. 485).

Copied in Edirne in 1101 (1689-90) by Sözü Mustafa -- colophon (fol. 74b).
21 lines per page. Written in a very small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Ff. 2b-3a written within a gold leaf frame outlined in black ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper.
Incipit: سپاس آن خدا را كه يكنجه در قياص ... وبعد ذا علم عروضك بحورى اخشاسنده لآلى منشوره دن
Explicit: وفتح را ايله بيوك سفره وازار كه سفره اوزرينده قورلر ... كه عربجه شمامه درلر
Binding note
Brown leather over pasteboard. Blind and gold fillets around the borders and central mandorlas, blind stamped and painted in gold, on upper and lower covers. Pastedowns in yellow paper.

In Ottoman Turkish.

Ownership signature on fol. 2a in the name of Seyyid Ahmet Esat, accompanied by a seal with the date '248 (1832-33).
Ownership statement on fol. 2a in black ink laced with gold glitter in the name of Yusuf Bahaüddin Beliǧ, dated 1st of Shaʻbān [?] 1282 (1865).
