    • Fol. 1 is a later addition on European glazed paper, with several inscriptions, including prayers, a tradition transmitted from ʻAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib on women, two short excerpts attributed to Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Dhahabī, relating events in Damascus in 646 H. and 693 H. Several inscriptions onf ol. 2a, on mentioning the date 1074 H. After the colophon, on fol. 277a, excerpt from Abū Hurayrah on the consolation in the afterlife of parents who lost children. Inscriptions on fol. 278a-b, including the mention of the date of birth of ʻAbd al-Muḥsin Ibn al-Ḥājj Darwīsh, born on Saturday 26 Shaʻbān 1149 [1736]. Title on the lower edge of text block (hardly legible).
    • Collation: Paper ; fol. 277 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
    • Layout: 29 lines per page.
    • Description: Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red ; dark cream paper with pulp and laid lines visible ; one leaf missing between fol. 8 and 9.
    • Origin: Copy completed by Yūsuf Ibn Aḥmad Ibn Yūsuf al-Ḥanafī, known as al-Ḥafīnī (Hitti reads Jafnī) on 12? Rabīʻ al-Awwal 842 [Sept. 1438] (colophon, fol. 276b, followed by a note by the copyist explaining the change of script).
    • Incipit: الحمد لله الذي شرف نوع الانسان بالاصغرين القلب واللسان ... وبعد فهذا كتاب لم يسالني احد تصنيفه ولا كلفت القريحة تاليفه
    • Explicit: ومن هاهنا قيل لعلى كرم الله وجهه امير النحل هذا ما انتهى اليه الغرض مما يحصل فى هذا الشان الاكتفا وختم بملك النحل الذى استخرج الله من لعابه الشمع والعسل وجعل احدهما اضيآ والاخر شفآ وابتدا بملك الوحوش الذي منه الشجاعة تقنفى وحسبنا الله تعالي وكفي والحمد لله على التمام والصلاة والسلام على سيد الانام وعلى اله وصحبه الكرام والحمد لله رب العالمين
