    Treatise on the excellence of the Qurʼān, the etiquette of its reading and writing, in ten chapters (bāb). See table of contents at the beginning of the text (fol. 2b).

    • Ms. codex.
    • Title from note on fol. 1a.
    • 23 lines per page. Written in medium small clear naskh in black ink with use of red for re-inking and punctuation. Thick dark cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 38-40 are on European glazed paper. Inscription in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish including reading statements and ownership statements on the upper cover, the pastedown of the upper cover and fol. 1a. Magic inscriptions on the pastedown of the lower cover. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Raqm 310".
    • Collation: Paper, fol. 40 ; 1-3¹⁰ 3⁸ 4² (+1, fol. 38 ; European glazed paper) ; catchword on the verso of some leaves ; quires numbered (cut off by page trimming, see fol. 10a).
    • Incipit: الحمد لله الكريم المنان ... اما بعد فان الله تعالى من على هده الامه زادها الله شرفا بالدين الذى ارتضاه دين الاسلام
    • Explicit: فقصدت بيانه لما لا له اختلاط بالعلما فانه ينتفع به ان شا الله تعالى هذا آخر ما تيسر من هذا الكتاب وهو نبذ مختصرة بالنسبة الى اداب القرا ... اختصاره ما ذكرته فى اول الكتاب وانا اسال الله تعالى النفع العميم لي ولاحبابي وكل ناظر فيه وساير المسلمين فى الدارين والحمد ... وسلم تسليما كثيرا ... قال المصنف ... فرغت من جمعه صبحة الخميس من شهر ربيع الاخر سنة ست وستين وستمايه تم
