Summary note

Collection of mnemonic verses and versified rules from various disciplines in fourteen chapters (bāb, see table of contents fol. 2b-3a). The author seems to be identical with Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Bāqī al-Bukhārī ʻAlāʼ al-Dīn Abū al-Maʻālī al-Makkī, the author of Ṭirāz al-manqūsh fī maḥāsin al-Ḥubūsh (GAL, II, 385; SII, 519; Zirikli, VI, 184), listed as Khaṭīb al-Madīnah in Hadiyat al-ʻĀrifīn (2, 256).

• 16 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. European paper with watermark. Quinions. Collation notes by another hand (see fol. 5a, 30a). Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Last fol. damaged.
• Copy completed in Jum[ādá]? 1084 by ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad (colophon, fol. 99, only partly extant due to damage to the paper).
• Collation: Paper, fol. 99 ; 1-9¹⁰ 10¹⁰ (-1, after fol. 99) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.
• Incipit: الحمد لله الذي اخرج من البحر الفرايد وجعل فيها جزيل الخير ... وبعده فيقول العبد الفقير ... بما كنت فى العام الخامس بعد الالف
