An abridgment in twelve chapters (bāb, see table of contents in the preamble, fol. 2b-4b) of Kashf al-Mamālik wa-bayān al-ṭuruq wa-al-masālik by the author, about the geography and history of the Mamlūk Sultans of Egypt.

Title from title page (fol. 1a). The same title appears in the preamble (fol. 2b, l. 10).
Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 120 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 15 lines per page.
Description: Rubricated ; watermarks ; some leaves are missing (see between fol. 12 and 13 and between fol. 55 and 56).
Origin: Copy completed on 12 Shawwāl 917 (colophon, fol. 120a).
Incipit: الحمد لله رافع خلقه فوق بعض درجات ومفضّل من اختاره ... وبعد فان قلم القدر اذا جري في القدم للعبد بالتوفيق.
Explicit: ما كان ذلك كله مما يفي بمبيت اول ليلة في قبره تم الكتاب.
Binding note
Type III (without flap) binding in brown leather over paper pasteboards (visible) for upper and lower covers. Both covers are similarly blind-tooled with a central roundel with a geometrical star-shaped motif and an elaborate outer frame made of fillets and running patterns. Disbound.
