In verse, beginning: "This nice little story for girls and boys / Is all about Santa Claus, Christmas, and toys."
6 bifolia, printed on one side only, bound so ills. face text, with first and last leaves of text laid down to wrappers.
Illustrated by Thomas Nast; last plate signed with a stylized "TN." (plates with different coloring and detailing from another McLoughlin ed. of this title, although without apparent precedence; cf. GAX copy).
Princeton copy 3 Ex copy : Imperfect: wanting first text leaf and first two chromolithographed leaves.
