Date based on Feb. 25, 1911 (vol. 29) Publisher's Weekly notice announcing that McLoughlin added 5 new titles to the Young Folks Standard Library "this year," including Half Hours with the Bible (#3202) and Udine (#3216), which are both listed in advertisement on this vol's. dust-jacket, along with 3 others not listed, to "bringing the total number of books in the library to 49" (cf. the 47 titles listed on this vol.)
McLoughlin "Books & Games, Educate - Amuse" logo, featuring 2 owls, on t.p. verso.
"List of Contents" on p. [3-4] organized as alphabetical index of stories.
McLoughlin issued this156 p. ed. of Grimm (listed as having 154 p. in their various catalogs) with different company ID nos. (#310, #817, #2376, and #3232), each with a different cover; McLoughlin also issued a number of other eds. of Grimm over the years, in various paginations and containing different stories.
Illustrations: Chromolithographed frontis. ("The prince awakening Briar Rose"), t.p. vignette, and engraved ills. throughourt the text, signed by Andre, Grot, "H. Günther," "DVAXA," and "RL."
Pub. advertisement on both turn-ins of dust-jacket, for the Young Folks Standard Library series including 47 titles, each with its McLoughlin's inventory number; this title is listed as #3232.
McLoughlin Bros. catalogs for 1910-1914 lists this title as #3232 in the Young Folks series, with cloth covers "stamped in three colors," although showing a different (older) version of the cover ill.

Pub. chromolithographed dust-wrapper, with pictorial ill. running across both front and back, depicting two children reading in a library setting populated with miniature characters from various children's stories in the series (e.g. Alice, Robin Hood, Bob Crachit & Tiny Tim, Robinson Crusoe, and Mother Goose), over pub. sage cloth bds., with pictorial design of Babes in the Wood on upper cover in blue, yellow, and dark green, and title in dark green on cover and spine; lower cover with McLoughlin's owl logo at foot.
