  • 18 lines per page. Written in Maghribī script in black ink (faded to brown). Light cream paper, glossy, with laid lines visible. Leaves mended. Several inscriptions on fol. 93b. Severe worm damage, with loss of text; stained; extremely fragile.
  • R. Mach dates the copy from the 7th cent. H.
  • Incipit: بسم ... تفسير ما جاء من كتاب الفصيح من غريب وغير ذلك مما يحتاج الى شرحه ... عن ابى عبدالله بن خالويه فاول ذلك قوله نمى الملل
Binding note
Spine, edges and fore-edge flap repaired. Upper and lower covers and envelope flap made of brown leather over paper pasteboards. Upper and lower covers are similarly blind tooled with a roundel with two pendants on the vertical axis and a rich outerframe of several fillets and running patterns with decorated inner corners. Blind tooled frame on the envelope flap. Embossed leather doublure extant on upper and lower covers.
