  • Probably commisioned my Edmund Evans, Greenaway's children's book publisher and engraver.
  • "T. I. Lawrence" carved into back of blocks indicates the block maker Thomas John Lawrence (1863-1887).
  • Includes the printed image cut out from the half title of the first edition as well as the image on the verso.
