• Photographic album containing photographs of a school, libraries, workers' clubs, factories, a hospital, and sanatorium.
• This album might have been a government funded propaganda effort arranged by the workers of an Azneft commune showcasing the amenities of a newly industrialized (and collectivized) life.
• Among the photographs of schools are a class taught by a muslim woman, adult literacy classes, gymnastics, and various shop classes.
• Sanatorium featured in second half of album are in Pyatigorsk and Kislovodsk, 2 cities in Stavropol Krai, Russia.
• Azneft was the state owned oil company of Azerbaijan (now SOCAR) first nationalized by the Soviets.
• Library stamps including many stamps for "T︠S︡entral'n Muzei V. I. Lenina", the now defunct Central Museum of V. I. Lenin located in the former Moscow City Hall.
