    • First edition of the French text with a parallel translation, and the first literary English translation on which all others were based until the early 19th century.
    • This translation first published by Joseph Pote and Richard Montagu, London, 1729.
    • Parallel text in English and French; French title page reads "Histoires, ou contes du tems passe : avec de moralitez / Par M. Perrault ; augmentée d'une nouvelle, viz. L'Adroite Princesse. Troisieme edition."
