Notes
Twenty three etchings and drypoint, of which 17 are numbered, by Ebdon on paper by Whatman senior reproducing illustrations either from Aesop or La Fontaine.
Ebdon was a pupil of James Paine and exhibited at the Society of Artists from 1767 to 1783. He was employed as a draughtsman by Sir John Soane and eventually became an architect, designing the Free- Mason's Lodge, Durham in 1810.
