Notes
At foot of t.p.: (Price Two-Pence).
Harris re-issue of this title, most likely made up of Newbery sheets with a new title page. Roscoe records only a single copy of the 1785 EN printing, but in 1975 JGS inspected an unlisted 1799 EN version in a private collection.
Date from Moon, cited below.
Cf. Roscoe, S. Newbery (1973), J141.
Cotsen c. 1: Imperfect: frontispiece and upper wrapper wanting. Extensive repairs to corners and margins.
Cotsen c. 1: Inscribed on verso t.p. (obscured by mounting): Susannah Atkins [?] her book.
Cotsen c. 1: Marbled boards in slipcase with spine title 'The fortune teller London 1801'.
