Notes
  • Set of building blocks with 4 color-printed instruction manuals.
  • Title from label on box lid, publication information taken from Nr. 5 booklet.
  • Box labels indicate that this is set GK (Grobes Kaliber) 5 with the password Althof, which, according to George Hardy, are manufactured no earlier than 1907 and no later than 1910.
  • Cotsen copy: Stones rearranged to match design on underside of lid, missing only 2 white blocks (blocks matching sizes indicated by number 31 and 69 on lid diagram), otherwise complete set with few breakages.
  • According to Hardy, later sets only included one booklet upon purchase (so set GK 5 only included Nr. 5 booklet). So the other booklets included with this box are supplemental seperate purchases.
Binding note
Pub. wooden box, color pictorial labels, with sliding lid, Publisher's wrappers on booklets, Nr. 1 missing wrappers, Nrs 1, 3, and 5 bound together by single large staple.
