An illustrated circular letter ("apantachousa") signed by Constantios I, Patriarch of Constantinople (1770-1834), seeking to raise money for St. Catherine's Monastery, 92.5 x 56 cm., paper on cloth backing, with three miniatures (the monastery, St. Catherine, burning bush). The monastic seal is dated 3 April 1853.
