Physical description: Arabic ms. consisting of a scroll of vellum or snake skin. The amulet is written in a long central column surrounded by eight different rectangular compartments in different colors. The central part is written in black ink in ruqʻah script while the compartments are in thuluth script. The central column contains Sūrat al-Fātiḥah, followed by different verses and a magic square meant to have magical powers to protect its owner. The compartments are written in blue, red, gold and black. All texts are ruled in gold.
Binding note
With a silver hexagonal tube in niello, etched in an arabesque pattern heightened in gold. It contains three loops where a chain can go through, so that it can be worn as a necklace.
